1000 years
A thousand years
I've loved and lost
I loved you then,
I love you now
A thousand tears
I've cried ...
although
I've
laughed ...
twice
as much.
I smile
in ironic tenderness
and remember...
our first touch...
eyes flirting..
dancing,
stroking,
minds wandering
with a thousand
wicked thoughts
that made me giggle.
heated eyes
winking
promises
to be kept
a thousand times
minus one...
in the end
reality
bites us all
another cancer call...
still...
I've hoped...
for a thousand years,
missed you...
a thousand times
and perhaps someday...
in
a thousand years
or so...
we'll meet
again.
I've loved and lost
I loved you then,
I love you now
A thousand tears
I've cried ...
although
I've
laughed ...
twice
as much.
I smile
in ironic tenderness
and remember...
our first touch...
eyes flirting..
dancing,
stroking,
minds wandering
with a thousand
wicked thoughts
that made me giggle.
heated eyes
winking
promises
to be kept
a thousand times
minus one...
in the end
reality
bites us all
another cancer call...
still...
I've hoped...
for a thousand years,
missed you...
a thousand times
and perhaps someday...
in
a thousand years
or so...
we'll meet
again.
